Lisa Sperber

Senior Counsel

Lisa focuses her practice in the areas of banking & capital markets and real estate & commercial development. Lisa represents institutional lenders, servicers, finance companies, seller and buyers/borrowers in a variety of financing and real estate transactions. She has also advised clients on entity formation, title insurance defense, leasing, foreclosures, and bankruptcy.  Lisa is also experienced serving clients in the real estate and development services industry. She has worked on both the lender and borrower side of commercial real estate acquisitions and construction projects. She has represented commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) lenders, managing defeasance transactions of varying complexity.

In addition, Lisa maintains an active pro bono practice through which she has, among other things, helped abused or neglected children acquire special immigrant juvenile status and currently advises and assists Veteran entrepreneurs with setting up their entity structure.

Lisa received her J.D. from Rutgers School of Law – Newark and is admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey, South Carolina, North Carolina and the US District Court, Western District of North Carolina.
